Rebecca and Mike are ENGAGED!! 

Back in November, I ran a contest/giveaway for a free couples session in honor of my dating anniversary with my husband. Rebecca and Mike ended up winning the session & we had their couples shoot in February. My husband, Henry, led the session so that he could get practice directing people and leading photos to prepare for a busy year of weddings. We instantly clicked with Rebecca and Mike during this photo session! We ended near a brewery that we were already thinking of going to, so Mike suggested we all get a table together. Unfortunately, there was over an hour wait for a table, so we decided to not get a drink together that night. A few weeks later, we followed through with our plans of meeting up, and got drinks at the new Bull City Ciderworks in Downtown Cary. We closed that brewery down, went to another, and closed that one down as well! We hadn't had that much fun and clicked that well with new friends in a while!

We hungout more and more and have been having so much fun getting to know them! They adopted the sweetest little pup, Dunkin, so of course I had to come over and take a few photos of him! He is just the sweetest thing!!

Fast forward to Mid-May, Mike texted Henry & I telling us that he was planning to propose to Rebecca and wanted us to photograph it! I was SO excited!!! It was the easiest yes ever!

On Sunday, May 22nd, Henry and I went to the American Tobacco Trail in Apex and walked to a point that Mike had dropped a pin at. We sat on a bench while we waited for them to walk up. Once Mike knew that it was us, he asked Bec to pick up Dunkin, and then got down on one knee and proposed to her!! It was the sweetest thing!!! I may have been drenched in sweat and a bit shakey, but it was a blast and we were so honored to be there with them photographing this special moment!

The American Tobacco Trail is one of the first places that they visited when they first came to North Carolina to check it out. They ended up renting a place right by the trail when they finally moved here, and have spent countless days walking on the trail together. It was such a perfect spot for Mike to propose!!

Rebecca and Mike make the perfect couple! They click so well together and are just so sweet! They are such good people and I am so glad that a giveaway contest led us to becoming friends! 💖
