Oh my goodness. I photographed Shannon and David while in Sedona, Arizona and I am OBSESSED with how these photos turned out!! The setting. The outfits. The couple. Everything was absolutely perfect!

I traveled to Sedona, Arizona in early May for a bachelorette weekend, but I extended my trip to be able to photograph while there. I shot in dream locations and was so happy to be there. Sedona, and Arizona in general, is a literal photographers dream!

Shannon and David are such a sweet couple. They are engaged and in the process of planning their perfect wedding. I loved chatting with them about their wedding plans and how they like Arizona living. They mentioned that they don't make it up to Sedona very often - they live in the Phoenix area 2 hours south. It's funny to me how people will spend thousands of dollars to vacation somewhere, but when it is local to you, you don't visit very often because it's easily accessable and "nothing special". I felt this way with Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore while growing up. I knew it was gorgeous and special, but I couldn't imagine spending thousands of dollars to vacation there to see the views I grew up seeing every day. Shannon and David mentioned that Sedona is extremely touristy and the traffic can be brutal, so they tend to go to Flagstaff more often when they want to head north.

We met at the Bell Rock Trailhead off of Hwy 179 which leads into Sedona. This was the perfect location as it required minimal hiking to a gorgeous rocky platform surrounded by 360 degree views of the red rocks in the distance, including Bell Rock. I was dying of excitement the whole time!!
