As a photographer, I've had the pleasure of capturing many special moments and memories for couples on their wedding day. Recently, I had the honor of photographing the wedding of Hannah and Anthony on a Friday in early March at Brick and Mortar Events in Clayton.

Brick and Mortar is situated in a beautifully renovated 100-year-old industrial space with 30-foot ceilings and exposed brick. They offer the urban chic design that is a classic setting - perfect for a wedding. They are located in downtown Clayton, just 20 minutes from Raleigh, North Carolina. Their venue is close enough to the city but also boasts a historical southern charm.

Despite the drizzly and rainy weather that Hannah & Anthony had, the couple was determined to make the most of their special day. They were true troopers and didn't let the weather dampen their spirits. In fact, they embraced it and viewed the rain as a symbol of good luck on their wedding day.

Hannah looked absolutely stunning in her wedding gown, and Anthony looked absolutely dapper in his suit and with his hat. They exchanged their personal vows right after their first look, privately. It was such an intimate, special moment. I photograph a lot of first looks and don't typically cry, but with Anthony's reaction to Hannah - I absolutely shed a few tears!

The ceremony took place indoors, which provided a cozy and intimate setting for the couple and their guests. The warm lighting and urban chic vibe of the venue created a romantic atmosphere that complemented the couple's love story perfectly.

The reception was a lively affair, with plenty of dancing, laughter, and love to go around. The couple shared their first dance as husband and wife, and it was a beautiful moment. I also adored the father/daughter and mother/son first dance. Anthony's mom was brought to tears as their dance began - I don't think there was a dry eye in the room! They were so sweet together!

In the end, Hannah and Anthony's wedding proved that rain on your wedding day can indeed be good luck. It brought a sense of intimacy and coziness to the ceremony, and it made the day all the more memorable for everyone involved. I'm grateful to have been a part of such a special day, and I wish the newlyweds all the love and happiness in the world as they embark on this new chapter of their lives together.
