Katelyn and Elijah were gifted a photo session as a Christmas gift from Elijah's sister after Katelyn didn't win my couples session giveaway. I thought this was the sweetest thing that his sister did for them!! A photo session is such a great gift for a friend or family member that you don't know what to get them!

I met Katelyn and Elijah in Downtown Cary for their couples photo session. While I only live 5 minutes from Downtown Cary, this was actually my first time shooting there. The majority of my shoots are in more nature-like settings, but I have been wanting to expand into shooting in downtown/city settings, so this was great! 

Cary is decorated so beautifully for the holidays. We did their photo session the evening before Christmas Eve, and everything was so festive! I had such a blast exploring all of the fun photo spots that downtown Cary has to offer!

Katelyn owns and runs a floral business, so she brought a bouquet that she made with her to the shoot. I always love when couples bring something special to them or representative of them to a shoot, and this was perfect! I was also able to capture some individual photos of her flowers - they were so beautiful!! She gifted me the flowers at the end of the session and it made my whole night!!! Her floral business is called Bee Bloomin' Florist & I definitely recommend checking her out!!

Katelyn also decorated a tree in Downtown Cary for the Annual Gifting Tree Project. Katelyn is on the board for Defeat MSA and her tree ended up winning 3rd place out of around 80 trees! How awesome!! We were able to get photos of her with her tree of course!

We were also able to get headshots of both Katelyn and Elijah as they mentioned needing updated photos. I always say - if I am there and taking photos, take advantage if you need something like that!
