Kaitlyn and Hunter were one of the couples who I worked with while I was home in Wisconsin in January. They got engaged in December and booked me for their engagement photos! I am so glad they did because we had a fun time together at their session!!

We took their engagement photos at Brown County WI Fonferek's Glen in Ledgeview, Wisconsin. Fonferek's Glen is a 74-acre nature park that features a waterfall, dolomite cliffs, a creek, a barn, native trees & more. Being that it was Janurary, the waterfall was frozen, and oh so beautiful. Unfortuantely, we were unable to get photos down by the waterfall because the river was unsafe to walk on. We tried our best, but after 20 minutes of hiking through the snow, onto the river, and halfway up the river, we decided to stop. We heard a few cracks beneath us and saw some spots with open water, so we decided to play it safe, as we should! Luckily we were able to take photos in the field, by the barn, in the trees, and during sunset!

Kaitlyn and Hunter were troopers. It was a whopping 19 degrees during their photos, yet they still showed up and went through with the photos!! I don't know how full time Wisconsin photographers shoot so often in the cold weather. I could barely move my fingers by the end of it and I even had gloves on!!

Right before their session started, I was on the phone with my husband while he got in a car accident. I was definitely a little shook up and wasn't exactly sure what was going on. I think I played it off alright though and kept calm 🤣
