Photographing a couple in the mountains has been on my photography bucket list since moving to North Carolina at the end of last year. I wanted to wait until I upgraded my gear so that I could create the best possible photos. After finally upgrading my gear, I posted in a hiking group looking for a couple that was willing to work with me on being my first mountain clients. That is where I found Hope and Bruce! They booked a couples mountains session with me and I am SO glad that they did!

We met at the summit of Hawksbill Mountain in North Carolina. Hawksbill Mountain has an elevation of 4,009 feet with panoramic views of the canyon of the Linville Gorge Wilderness Area. The valley floor and Linville River is 2,000 ft. below the summit. We lucked out and had the entire location to ourselves during the shoot. The session was at 6:30pm which happened to be right after a couple of hours of rain passed through. We were so lucky with perfect weather, beautiful lighting/clouds, and the location to ourselves.

Hope and Bruce are so dang cute!!! It was so obvious how in love they are with each other, just from the short time I spent with them! They were always smiling and laughing with each other. 🥰 They are very into hiking - they were actually in Shenandoah National Park the week prior to our shoot. I loved working with them!
