Bridal portraits are so special! For those that don't know, like I didn't until I moved south, Bridal Portraits are a time when a bride-to-be does a hair and makeup trial, gets dressed up in her wedding dress, and has photos taken of her with her wedding photographer, oftentimes at her wedding venue. A lot of brides like to display a photo from this session at their weddings, and delivering bridal portraits to the mom of the bride is tradition.
Last fall, I had a gorgeous styled shoot that took place at the Leslie-Alford-Mims House in Holly Springs, North Carolina. This historic wedding venue is so great! The original section of the house was built around 1840, and it is a two-story, Greek Revival-style frame dwelling. The Leslie-Alford-Mims House combines rich history with modern grace and style. There were many great backdrops for our styled shoot, even without it being set up for a wedding.
I had a wonderful model who was willing to slide back in to her wedding gown for some photos with me! How gorgeous is she?! She also happens to be a great friend of mine!!
