I met with Rachel bright and early on a Thursday morning for her graduation photos. I LOVE morning shoots because campus gets crazy in the afternoon with grads and photographers. We didn't see a single other grad out and about which was helpful at all of the prime photo locations! Being able to take our time and really focus on the shots was fun! Rachel took me to a few new places that I hadn't photographed before, one being on the seal inside of the Talley and another being inside of Poe Hall, where she spent a lot of her time working towards her degree.

I learned that stepping on the seal inside of the Talley Student Union is something that students avoid, because rumor has it that if you step on the seal, you won't gruduate on time. WELL - Rachel stepped on it!!! This was on purpose though to make a funny shot BECAUSE Rachel actually is extending her time at NCSU and will be graduating with the class of 2023! She had planned on graduating with the Class of 2022 when her mom originally booked me to photograph her graduation photos, but after talking with her advisor, she decided to extend her time at State to finish her minor! So we HAD to get a photo of her stepping on the seal!

When she is finished with school, Rachel will be graduating in the College of Education. She is finishing up her student teaching next week before tackling finals this semester.

I had so much fun walking around campus with her on a gorgeous April morning! Shared below are some of my favorite photos from Rachel's very early graduation session as she will be graduating with the Class of 2023 from North Carolina State University!
