Samantha and Stephen are married!!

I had the absolute honor of photographing Samantha & Stephen on their spring wedding at Old Homeplace Vineyard. It was so beautiful!!

When I first left for their wedding, I drove in a terrential downpour with the forecast not looking great at all for the rest of the day. Luckily, by the grace of God, the rain held stopped before I arrived at the venue and stayed away the rest of the day! Samantha decided to move the ceremony indoors because the ground was wet, but overall it ended up perfectly fine!

Samantha and Stephen were married at Old Homeplace Vineyard in Winston-Salem. The vineyard lies between a 1200 acre lake and 48 acres of beautiful rolling pastures. This property has been in the family for over 70 years. The scenery was so gorgeous, and there were even horses, donkeys, and cows in the fields.

Samantha and Stephen were married in the open air barn, and then danced the night away with their closest friends and family. It was such a great day!!

My favorite part of the wedding was when Stephen slow danced with his grandma - I don't think there was a dry eye in the room. I definitely teared up! She sang to him the entire time they were dancing and looked up at him with the most loving eyes. It made my heart melt!

Samantha was walked down the aisle by her two sons which was so sweet! She also included her brother on her side of the wedding party - he was the man of honor. I loved all of the ways that they made their wedding day uiniquely theirs.

They had gorgeous centerpieces, delicious cupcakes (I may have snuck a second one while I was uploading photos!), an excellent choice of drinks, and great music all night long!

My husband Henry is my second shooter for weddings. When he heard that the groomsmen were listening to Morgan Wallen and drinking Busch Light while they were getting ready, Henry knew that he would get along just fine with the guys!!

Samantha and Stephen had a beautiful display honoring their loved ones that were no longer with us here on Earth. It was a great way to incorporate the people that couldn't be there on their special day.

Samantha and Stephen make such a great couple together!! They left for a week at the ocean immediately following their wedding day, and I can only imagine how perfect it was! Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Carlson!!

Thank you to all of the vendors that helped make this day possible!
