Ahh! Dani & Seth's Savannah winter elopement was SUCH a dream!! ✨

Dani + Seth originally booked with me for their wedding that they were planning for April of 2022. We were all set to go for an April wedding when Dani reached out to me to let me know that they had big life changes & that they prayed on it and decided that moving their wedding forward to January of 2022 was what they needed to do. They decided they wanted to elope in Savannah, Georgia instead of the traditional wedding that they were orginally planning and I was all for it! I had never shot an elopement before, let alone in a fun destination city, so I immediately said yes! Savannah has been on my travel bucketlist since moving south, so I made a long weekend out of it and was so glad to go.

My husband and I started 2022 strong with getting Covid, so I unfortunately had to reschedule a few shoots during the first 2 weeks of the year. Dani & Seth's elopement ended up being my first shoot of 2022 and it was everything I could have hoped for!

The venue for their ceremony was at Wormsloe Historic Site. Wormsloe, which is a former plantation, is the site of the oldest standing structure in Savannah. It's such a gorgeous property now covered in huge live oaks with beautiful sweeping branches and spanish moss. This was the backdrop to their ceremony and it was so perfect!

Dani & Seth are such a great couple. They were so laid back and relaxed on their wedding day. They had an intimate ceremony surrounded by their closest family and friends and it was perfect. Their sweet dog, Sugar, even joined the wedding as the flower pup.

Elopements are great because we were able to take the time together after the ceremony and family portraits to capture beautiful bride/groom photos without the pressure of time. We had quite a bit of time together before Seth & Dani left to meet their family for a celebration dinner. We explored the Wormsloe Plantation property to find different backdrops for their photos. There were so many great spots!
